Fiesta Burgers

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup medium picante sauce
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 6 slices (1 oz) Monterey Jack cheese
  • leaf lettuce
  • 6 TBSP prepared guacamole
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 6 hamburger buns

Lightly mix ground beef, picante sauce, and salt. Form into six patties 3/4-inch thick. Grill over medium heat for about 7 minutes per side, until no longer pink in the middle. Add cheese slice, cover and cook an additional 1-2 minutes. To serve: place lettuce leaf on each bun. Top with burger, 1 slice tomato, 1 slice onion, 1 TBSP guacamole per serving.
