Fudgy Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup margarine or butter
- 1 egg
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 2/3 cup flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ c milk w/ 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 cups chocolate chips (milk, white, semi-sweet or peanut butter)
Melt the butter and 1½ cups chocolate chips in the microwave or in a small saucepan. Mix egg, sugars and vanilla together. Stir in melted butter and chocolate. In a small bowl, mix flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. While slowly mixing, add the flour mixture to the chocolate mix. Gradually add the milk. Add the final 2 cups of chocolate chips.
Refrigerate the dough (about 2 hours or until it can be formed). Roll the dough into small balls. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350°.
