Yes. . . you read that right. It’s an Amish recipe that uses a bread machine. And no, we didn’t get it from an Amish person, unless Mark considers himself Amish. Despite the confusing name, this bread is probably the best bread I’ve ever had from a bread machine and it’s oh so simple!

  • 2-3/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp. yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. dough enhancer (optional)

In the bottom of the loaf pan, dump the oil, water, sugar and salt. Next, dump the flour followed by the yeast and dough enhancer. Press start. (This makes a 1-1/2 pound loaf.)
