  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian pork sausage
  • 1/2 bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 c. chunky pasta sauce

To garnish:

  • black olives
  • shoestring fries
  • peas
  • tatertots

Heat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, mix beef, sausage, bread crumbs, onion, milk, salt, cream cheese and egg. Divide into six equal parts. Shape into oval loaves, pinching the narrow part of the oval into a point (for the mouse nose). For gross-out effect, try molding each loaf around a cherry tomato!

Place in an ungreased glass baking dish. Pour pasta sauce on and around loaves. Bake for 40 minutes (or until center of loaves reaches 160F.

Garnish with olives for nose, peas for eyes, shoe-string fries for whiskers and tail, and tatertots for ears.
