Paris Puffins

  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Mix these ingredients and set aside. Then in a separate bowl mix:

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Alternate adding the dry mixture and the 1/2 c. of milk to the wet mixture. Place in mini muffin tin at 350 and cook for 10-12 minutes. While they are cooking melt 1 stick of butter and set aside. Mix in separate bowl 1/2 c. of sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon. When the muffins are done cool for 2 minutes. Remove from muffin tin and dip in butter then cinnamon/sugar mixture. Very tasty!
