Savory Meatloaf
So simple, yet so tasty…it’s the topping! I would double this!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
Topping:
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
Combine ingredients and shape into loaf pan. Spread topping over loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
This is one of our family's favorite meals. The topping is delicious, but even without it, this meatloaf recipe is so moist and good! I always double it so we'll have enough for sandwiches the next day!
