Savory Meatloaf

So simple, yet so tasty…it’s the topping! I would double this!


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion


  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard

Combine ingredients and shape into loaf pan. Spread topping over loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

  1. This is one of our family's favorite meals. The topping is delicious, but even without it, this meatloaf recipe is so moist and good! I always double it so we'll have enough for sandwiches the next day!
